COMIX ACADEMY TESTIMONIALS
The thing that is great about the class is Becky. She is a professional comic who is currently working and in demand and she is so generous with her knowledge and experience – most people in her position might be standoffish / unapproachable, but Becky seems to really care and is genuinely supportive. The environment is safe to explore and take risks and the feedback she gives is golden. I have taken so much from this class. Where else can you pick a successful comic’s brain?
-- Daniel Leary
I most enjoyed the warm atmosphere and the selection of comics. There’s no greater compliment than when someone who you consider hilarious (Becky) tells you you’re funny.
-- Matthew Ebner
I liked the marketing information and first hand stores from Becky’s real experience. The students were well picked and talented. (I have taken classes with some very unfunny and depressed people.) So, I guess Becky just attracts good students, which is a good sign. It was a great class.
-- Larry Tadlock
The constructive criticism was awesome. I really appreciated the practice and helpful (very helpful) writing regimine. Becky is just awesome, wickedly, charmingly, great!!
-- Imrana Zaman
I enjoyed the open atmosphere of the class. It was relaxed and very conducive to the learning of standup comedy.
-- Rowena Pedrena
The class gave me the opportunity to develop a new set from inception to completion all with the insight of a professional comedian that really wants to help further your career. The contacts I was afforded, both of bookers and comedians, I’m sure will prove greatly useful in my pursuit of a career in comedy.
-- Rich Pinder
I most enjoyed Becky’s feedback. I think that was invaluable. The time for the class was perfect too. What I really thought was different and interesting was learning about Bill Hicks. Also, the lists in the first 2 classes about contacts and shows were terrific.
-- Caroline Waxler
I recommend Becky's stand up class without reservation. I used the class time to get direct feedback about writing, performance style and delivery. I was preparing to feature for a national headliner at the Skyline Comedy Club in Appleton, WI. Becky tailored her interactions with me to be specifically oriented to featuring at a big club. As a result, I surpassed even my expectations at the Skyline Comedy Club and have been asked back.
Becky is both generous and realistic in her constructive criticism. She is a professional comic who is readily available to any and all levels of comics who love the art as much as she does.
