FAMILY HOUR WITH AUNTIE SARA - The New York Post calls Family Hour one of NYC's top alt-comedy shows! The New York Press and Metromix.com also recommend our magically dysfunctional story-fest featuring comedians from Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, NBC and the movies talking about family in a manner that is not at all appropriate for actual families with actual children. Hosted by Sara Benincasa (Nerve.com, MTV News, Sirius) with Kambri Crews (The Moth, LoveDaddy.org). Click here for details.
The Fix/FATSMILES will incorporate the best in UK & US standup and video comedy with live music. Each night will be unique event, with a new host & comedy collaborations, along with screening of world premier videos from acclaimed and emerging artists from around the world.
NEW YORK SH*TTY -- The traditional "New York experience" is all but a mirage now, replaced by Chipotles, cosmotinis, and management companies starving for horizontal space. Although it's become a cliche to romanticize Ed Koch's New York - one rampant with drugs, crime, and bankruptcy - there does, nevertheless, exist a necessity to honor the city's two-faced ability to enthrall and excite you one day and wring you dry the next. Simply put, New York can suck - hard - and brother-sister duo Eliot and Ilana Glazer invite comedians, writers, bloggers, and performers to share their worst experiences in the new cathartic storytelling series New York Sh*tty at Ochi's Lounge.
DON'T TOUCH ME THERE is America's longest running comedy show. Originally founded by British settlers as a way to torture Native Americans, it has since garnered more Oscars, Peabodies, and Cable ACE awards than any other show in human history. Each week join Sean Donnelly as he presents celebrity comedic guests (most are former Tonight Show hosts) as well as tomfoolery from the rest of DTMT. (Pat Stango, Blaine Perry, Steve Bossous, Eliza Faria-Santos.) Visit www.DontTouchMeThere.com for short films and commemorative plates.

THE BACK ROOM - It's Thursday night after work, need a release? Stop by Ochi's Lounge, take three parts fag, one part hag and a gaggle of gay comics. Paul Case, Shawn Hollenbach, Dave Rubin and Jenny Rubin bring you New York's only underground (literally) gay comedy show in NYC. The comics have been seen on here!, Logo, VH1, MTV, Comedy Central, and some newbies who you'll later say, "I saw them when." Plus we only book attractive comics and they're ready to sit on your lap.

OCHI'S MOTEL - A weekly workout room booked and hosted by Sean Donnelly & Joe Powers. Ochi's Motel has rooms aplenty for anyone with 4 minutes of talent looking for a warm microphone and a soft spotlight. From touring pros to NYC's freshest stand-up, improv & sketch artists, the Motel has earned its reputation as "a stand-up place" for 4 years running. Email ochismotel[at]gmail.com to get put "in the hat" for the weekly, randomly drawn cast list. (Performers donate $5 to the week's prize kitty, 1 item minimum for all.)
LITTLE ETHNIC GIRLS & FRIENDS - Helen Hong and Maria Shehata are little. And ethnic. And funny! Every other week, they hang out at Ochi's with other funny folks, some little and ethnic, some not. When they all get together, it’s a laugh riot of diverse stories and jokes that prove that we’re not all that different, no matter how we grew up. Click here for more info.

THE DRINK AT WORK SHOW - Carol and Sean have a comedy show. It is very good. There are no bees. It often features famous people. It always features hilarious people...none of whom are bees. If you come, you will watch stand-up performances, funny videos, comedy sketches, humorous musics and other etceteras. Conversely, you will not be attacked by bees. You will also drink tasty beverages throughout. Hey, that sounds great! Hooray! The Drink at Work Show: Comedy, Booze, Bravery...No Bees.

SLUMBER PARTY is the sort of variety show that happens when 3 girls are delirious from staying up all night boozing, and slap happy from crank-calling! Join Maggie Champagne, Joselyn Hughes, Brooke Van Poppelen as they host a cast of wild characters every other Wednesday. Click here for dates and line ups.
LIAM MCENEANEY'S WRITINGS WITH MUSIC - Every musician secretly wants to be a comedian. All comedians have a secret yearning to play music. On the third Wednesday each month, these worlds collide in a music/comedy experiment, as some of New York's best comedy writers read pieces, creating a rhythm that a jazz band will use to create a live, improvised musical background.
FAUX SHOW - Shawn Pearlman hosts a weekly show featuring the best of NYC underground comedy. Turn off TBS and come enioy the show! Click here for dates and line up information.
ERIC I'S COMEDY SHOWDOWN! - Come one, come all! Every other Tuesday evening, host Eric I welcomes all lovers of comedy to enjoy this contest-format show which will determine Who Is 2008's Best Comedian In NYC (In Eric I's Audience's Opinion). Each show, FOUR of New York City's Superduperstars (most of whom are national headliners who have multiple major TV credits) and TWO Fortunate Ballsy Up-And-Coming WannaBeSuperduperstars (who will be selected at the outset of each show from those comics in the audience who have the chutzpah to go toe-to-toe against the pros) each do tight 8-minute sets . . . and YOU, the audience get to VOTE for the winner! Each show's winner moves on to the Spring semi-final round in June; the semi-final winners advance to the Championship Showdown in December. The winner of the Showdown wins a $500.00 cash prize, and more importantly, the honor of being crowned 2008's Best Comedian In New York City! Come laugh your ass off as some of New York City's best stand-ups go head-to-head performing the best jokes they've got . . . and MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT! Click here for dates and line ups.
